Harper Adams alumnus Tim Ashton has - like many other business owners during the pandemic - been pro-active and diversified his rural enterprise. However, most have not built an outdoor earthen amphitheatre on their land to help the arts and culture sector by staging Covid-safe live events.
Soulton Hall Farm – a record of which can be found in the Domesday Book of 1068 - and its amphitheatre can be found near Wem in the middle of the picturesque North Shropshire countryside between Shrewsbury and Whitchurch.
Since the National Youth Theatre opened the arena with their production of ‘The Last Harvest’, the site has been the backdrop of many theatrical and musical events and will play host ‘The Diablos’ - the UK’s foremost Country-Rock band - on Saturday 12th of June.
The event will follow strict Covid-19 regulations including and not limited to, social distancing, bringing your own seating and protocols surrounding the on-site bar.
